In our second installment of “Who Run the World?” we take a look at the world of music. Two popular musicians, born and raised in the American South, each with a stint in R&B, go head to head: Conway Twitty (né Harold Lloyd Jenkins) and Kanye West (né Kanye Omari West).
Kanye
Possessed of vast wealth
In touch with militancy
Prone to ignoring advisors
Conway
Racked up 55 #1 hits
Built Trinity Music City, also known as “Twitty City”
Willing to take us farther than we’ve ever been before
Winner: Kanye
Conway Twitty passed away June 5, 1993. While it is possible that he is running the world in secret after having transformed himself into a lich, we have no evidence to support this conclusion. Kanye, on the other hand, is alive and well, has already produced an heir, and is soon to marry his courtesan to solidify the lineage.
